Pictures of Ludwigsburg

Wolf and I, along with his sister Cornelia and her boyfriend Urs who came up from Switzerland for my birthday, went to the huge "Residenz" only 300m/yds from our home. Believe me, it is absolutely fantastic. The pictures aren't as good as being there, but at least it gives you an idea.

Of course, all of these pictures were taken with my new camera from Wolfgang! :)

My new Canon EOS350D/Rebel XT

So, Wolf really outdid himself for my birthday. But I am not complaining!

Wolf got me a digital SLR camera by Canon (EOS350D/Rebel XT). This one is supposed to be one of the best out there at the moment. Can't wait to see exactly how everything works on it.

Thank you my man! I love you!

It's my birthday!!

Back in Germany to be with my man (and some friends) for my birthday. :)

Yep, I'm officially in the "mid-30's range", but it most certainly doesn't feel like it!!

Wonder what I'll be getting??? :) I'll tell you later..

Back to Ludwigsburg

Hi all,

Just got back to Europe and Ludwigsburg and, of course, my husband! :)

I'm a bit tired, so will write more when I'm a little more awake.

Wedding Planning Update

So, the wedding is coming along. Most of you know that I have been in the US to plan our wedding here on June 2, 2007. Well, a lot of it is planned or almost planned.

We've found:

  • a church and pastor to marry us (my bro's)
  • a reception hall (have had one since January)
  • a dress (YEA!!!, just bought it on Monday!! It's beautiful!)
  • a possible caterer (the expensive and trendy one or the inexpensive ok one)
  • a DJ
  • a Cake Lady (that's her business name!)
  • a possible photographer (already contracted with one, but not sure about her)
  • invitations and save the date kits

But still need to find:

  • bridesmaids dresses (may have found one)
  • flowers (that won't break the bank)
  • a bartender (we'll provide drinks, but need someone to divvy it out)
  • transportation (party bus and other transport at end for out of towners)
  • hotel for out-of-towners
  • tuxes
  • videographer (maybe--might be too expensive)
  • favors and decorations (have ideas)

Overall, it's been fun, but tiring. And frustrating at times because so many of the vendors have different people who say different things about the same item. That part has been driving me nuts!

If anyone wants to see pics of my wedding dress, let me know. Also, if anyone knows of any bartenders, let me know that too.

    Another Bridesmaid!

Nicole has agreed to be a bridesmaid! :)

I am so happy that my oldest friend (I remember her when she was 2 and I was 3 1/2) has agreed to be a bridesmaid. That makes 3 definites and 1 possible.

It has been 2 years since we last talked, so it was great to see her (and her new baby!) again.

Here's a picture of one of the favorite bridesmaid dresses, modeled by my best friend Michele, who is also going to be my Maid of Honor.

(to be added in the next couple of days)
