Our New Home?

So, Wolf and I have been looking to buy a house for the past month or so. We have looked at so many places that our eyes are going totally buggy! But, we are now thinking about buying some land and then building a house. We believe this is actually more cost effective and investment friendly than buying what's out there. So, here are some pics of a place we are interested in building. Enjoy!

Koalas

Before Wolf started work, we took a nice trip to the Great Ocean Road.

We were about 2/3rds of the way to our final destination of Warrnambool when I saw a "Koalas next 4 km" sign. So, of course I went looking for them. We had seen many of these signs before, but had never seen a koala. Because of this, I wasn't really expecting to see one.

As I looked to the side, I saw a big blob in the tree. I couldn't really tell what it was, but it looked as if it had a face. But we were going a bit fast to really tell. Another few meters, I saw another furry blob, but this time, I could tell it was a koala. I then kept on seeing them over the next couple of meters. Obviously, I told Wolf we had to stop when we could.

We turned the corner, and found a place to park along with another family who had stopped. They were looking up at one of the trees right on the side of the road. Lo and behold, there was a mama koala with a "child" koala (a bit big, but yet, we did see it feeding in the pouch). Aren't they cute?

Some students from Matrix English

So, as I mentioned, I started working just over a month ago at a place called Matrix. Most of my students are from Punjab state in northern India. They are a lot of fun, if not a bit exhausting at times, to teach, so I'm very happy to be teaching them. Have a look!

BTW, the pictures were taken with my cell phone, so they aren't the best of quality. Sorry!
Here are a few of my students from my afternoon group. See how diligent they are? :) This was a very nice, but rare, quiet moment. Some more of the guys.. Shiv Raj gets around! :) From left to right: Shiv Raj, Davinder, Amandeep and Mandeep.
And in a less quite moment, here are Kultar, Gary, Shiv Raj and Robin...
We went out on one Friday to the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Melbourne, which turned out to be a disaster. Believe it or not, they actually kicked us out because some of the guys were wearing something on their heads. Uh, duh! They're Sikh and are required by their religion to wear a turban or something else on their heads (along with not cutting their hair and other things). Oh well!

Anyway, from left to right: (back) Sukhchain, Shiv Raj, Gary and Kultar. (front) Tejpal and Davinder.
It was an extremely hot day (100 F/37.7 C) so I'm not looking my best. But, here I am with another couple of students--Gary and Mandeep (a different one).
