Still Waiting...

My passport still hasn't made it back to our mailbox. Tomorrow is a holiday here, so no mail then. On Friday we're going to Heiligenberg to visit Wolf's uncle, Pedro and were hoping to go on to Switzerland to meet some friends of Wolf's. Without a passport, it won't be possible. :(

The Girl's Roadtrip

Wow! What a day!

Greta and I left Karlsruhe at 10ish yesterday morning, heading first to pick up Susan in Weinsberg, load up the car with a ton--literally a TON!--of clothes and tie a lounger up to the roof of the car. As soon as that was done, we were on the road again to Frankfurt (Offenbach) to see Tracie in her new digs.

What a sight we must have been driving on the A6 and A5 to Tracie's! I wish I had pictures. Here we are, 3 American girls (of course, you couldn't tell that from the car) driving along with the lounger on top and a bunch of boxes.

So, we finally got up to Tracie's new place--really nice! She made us fantastic flammkuchen, a speciality from the Alsace--the region of France on the German border near Karlsruhe. It's basically a pizza, but made with crème fraîche or sour cream instead of tomato sauce. Mmmm, yummy! I'll need to find a good recipe for when we move to Australia! Thanks for the wonderful meal Tracie!

Anyway, after we filled our tummies with the delish flammkuchen, we had a fashion show with all the clothes that Susan was giving away. We had so much fun doing this! And found a few really great new outfits. Thanks SO MUCH Susan!

Then it was 7pm and we had to get back on the road again. This time we made a big "S" from Frankfurt down and over to Weinsberg to drop off Susan, and then finally drop Tracie off in Pforzheim and have dinner. By this time it was past 10pm! Amazing how the time flew. And poor Greta--all that driving!

Thanks girls for all the fun!

Welcome Letter

Welcome, one and all!

Ok, ok, I know that was cheesy.

Anyway, welcome to my rambles. This will be my place to enhance Wolf and my website, bringing you up-to-date with everything we're doing.

The next few months are going to be the most hectic ones ever for me, living in 4 different countries (Germany, Poland, USA and Australia) in 5 months! Right now, I'm supposed to be packing for our move, but I really just need a break.

We are now anxiously awaiting my passport to be returned from the Australian Embassy in Berlin with my Spouse Visa in it. I just sent it yesterday along with the new and improved Polish Police Certificate with the 2 stamps instead of the 1 that I originally had. Wish me luck!

Of course, I'll post when I get it back..

Anyway, I'll try to post as often as possible on here, but if there are a couple of days/weeks missing, it could be that I'm incommunicado with the internet. Or simply, just too busy.

Catch you all later..

Chris
